ACCIDENT IN BELVEDERE INJURES ONE CHILD

A loud bang early last week Saturday morning, startled residents of the small and quiet community of Belvedere, when a Toyota double cab van and Jeep collided.

The impact led to a child that was in the Toyota, which bore the registration number, PM 553 and was driven by Joshua Charles, sustaining a blow to the head, taken to the hospital, treated and discharged. The other vehicle, bearing registration number PAK 723 was driven by Paul “Bully” Sylvester.

Mr Charles was travelling in a southerly direction going uphill while Mr Sylvester was descending travelling in a northerly direction.  The incident occurred at about 7:50 am.  Members of the traffic department of the Royal Grenada Police force arrived shortly after the collision to conduct their investigation.

The lawmen used the occasion to emphasize the need for motorist to be always cautious when driving on the nation’s roads.
