Vin Blaine takes up duties as GFA’s New Technical Director

Jamaican Born Vinimore Blaine on Monday 17, July 2017 took up his duties as the new Technical Director of the Grenada Football Association.

Blaine, who has a wealth of knowledge in his field, is a FIFA and CONCACAF regional Instructor. He is the former Head Coach of Harbour View FC Men’s Premier League Team in Jamaica and the former Technical Director of the Jamaica Football Federation.

Grenada Champion of Windward Island Men Football

Despite going under to Barbados in their final game 2 goals to nil Grenada emerged champion of the 2017 Windward Island Men Football Tournament, which climaxed at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium last Thursday.

 Unbeaten heading into their final game, team Grenada needed a win to lift the trophy in the event that Dominica which followed closely behind on five points, won their encounter against St Vincent and the Grenadines. It turned out that Dominica drew their match with St Vincent and claimed just one point to finish on six points and therefore despite losing to Barbados, Grenada remained at the top of the table on seven points to claim the championship title.

The battle for the Cecil Greenidge Grassroot Under 15 Cup is on

The battle for championship honours and bragging rights among under-fifteen cricketers from eight of the top functioning cricket clubs in Grenada is on.

 The tournament held under the auspices of the Grenada Cricket Association under the name, The Cecil Greenidge Grassroots Under 15 Cup, got off to an exciting start last Saturday at various playing fields around Grenada with all eight participating teams engaged in competition.
